Zuzunaga! Try and say that three times quickly!
Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 2:43PM We love the special editions he did for Ligne Roset's Togo sofa, the Nanimarquina Digit Rug, and his collaborations with Moroso for the Steel chair. I may need to get a scarf just to have a little piece of the action.

The Designer
The Barcelona-born Cristian Zuzunaga trained as a type designer, and his love for letterpress squares evolved into a fixation on the pixel, “the icon of our time.”
The Things
Photo-derived pixel patterns. His fabric for Kvadrat on the Moroso armchair in his Shoreditch studio is based on a London cityscape; the scarf mosaic is Moroccan-inspired.
The Look
Block party. Zuzunaga’s pixels are a metaphor for a fragmented time. “These shapes are rooted in our unconscious,” he says. “I’m trying to play at a psychological level.”
